Elaine brings more than 40 years of professional sewing experience to every wedding dress she alters. After 11 years perfecting gowns at one of Sacramento's premier bridal shops, she opened a private in-home studio for brides who want careful, one-on-one attention.

Your gown stays in Elaine's hands from fitting to finishing. She accepts a limited number of brides so each dress has the time, precision, and calm attention it deserves.

    Timeline & Scheduling

    Start by sharing your wedding date with us. We recommend beginning your alterations three to four months before the big day, allowing plenty of time to perfect every detail and ensure your gown fits beautifully.

    Send Photos for an Estimate

    Send photos of the entire dress hanging up, showing the front, back, and sides, along with a list of the specific alterations you have in mind. We'll provide an estimated quote from your photos, and confirm the exact price at your first fitting before any work begins.

    The Fitting Process

    Most gowns are completed in two visits:

    • First visitYour initial fitting. Please bring your wedding dress and the exact shoes you plan to wear on your wedding day.
    • Second visitWe check the fit and perfect every detail. Minor adjustments are often handled right away; if the dress needs more significant work, we will schedule a third visit.

    Location

    We are located in the 95828 area of Sacramento, California, and see brides by appointment. The exact address is provided after your appointment is confirmed.

Beyond alterations, we also create custom wedding gowns, and your first consultation is free!

Your free consultation includes:

  1. 01Tell us about your measurements, wedding venue, and vision for your dream gown.
  2. 02We recommend wedding dresses that we think best suit you.
  3. 03See yourself in the gown before it exists: a complimentary preview video, created just for you.
  4. 04If you decide to customize your wedding dress with us, we will take your detailed measurements and collect a 50% deposit of the quoted price. Your gown is crafted to the measurements taken. Once it arrives, we will schedule a final fitting, and if any adjustments are needed, additional alteration services are available to refine the fit.

Already have dresses you love? We highly recommend bringing pictures of them. Ideally, send them to us when you make your first appointment.

Preview videos are a style visualization tool for consultation, and an in-studio experience. Final design, construction, fit, and alterations are confirmed in person.
